Kohima, July 24 (EMN): Goals from Achamo Shitio, Menguzelie Rutsa and Rhetso Mero helped New Market beat Khriekesa FC 3-0 and register their first win in the 2nd Kohima Football League here at the Kohima local ground on Tuesday.
With the win, New Market has now three points in two matches after losing the first match against defending champions Ziekezou SC in the first round.

But within a minute, Achamo Shitio converted a spot kick in the 11th minute to give the lead for New Market. In the process Salu Kulim was brought down by an opponent defender in the 18 yard box for the referee to award a penalty.

Khriekesa domination in the second half started with their counter attacks but lack of finishing rued their opportunities. The best chance came from Keneingutuo for Khriekesa but his shot initially hit the woodwork to deny them a goal again in the 49th minutes. Vekhruto Resu shot was also carried away by the keeper Koza in the 69th minutes to keep the team with two goals lead.
