Dimapur, Nov. 28 (EMN): The Khiamniungan Football Club (KFC) Borlengri won the championship title in football at the three sports meet organised by the Khiamniungan Sports Alliance Dimapur (KSAD), which was floated this year with the motto "Path to Victory" to give a platform to youngsters from its community in Dimapur district to showcase their talents in sports.
An update from the organisation informed that KFC defeated United Town Youth (UTY) by six goals in the football final to win the maiden championship title. The champions and runners-up were awarded with cash prize, trophy and certificate.
Events like football for boys, volleyball for both boys and girls, and badminton for both boys and girls were held at the event held from November 26 to the 28th.
Special guest of the event P Longon, former minister, and match patron L Mucham lauded the organisers for given a platform to sports persons. Likening sports persons to soldiers in terms of discipline and manners, Mucham encouraged the participants to work hard.
