KEZOMA — The Kezoma Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) Sports Meet concluded on Wednesday with Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-B winning the trophy for the ‘Thülo’ traditional game.
In the ‘Luda’ traditional game, Mhasivi Mekro of Zelmi Khel Youth Organisation emerged as the champion.
Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-B won the men’s tug-of-war while Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-A secured the runner-up position.
The women’s team of Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-B also took the champion title in their tug-of-war match while Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-A came second.
In the men's badminton, the Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-A won the title while the runner-up position was secured by Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-B.
In the women’s category for badminton, Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-B emerged as the champions while the runner-up position went to Nakimi Khel Youth Organisation.
The Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-A emerged as the champions of men’s volleyball and Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-B secured the runner-up position.
In the women's volleyball, Zelmi Khel Youth Organisation claimed the championship title while Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-A secured the runner-up position.
A penalty shootout for women was held where Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-A became the champions while Zelmi Khel Youth Organisation claimed the runner-up position.
In the men's football, Yohotsomi Khel Youth Organisation-A became the champions while Nakimi Khel Youth Organisation claimed the runner-up position.
Meanwhile, Visapa Yongo, the games and sports match commissioner, has announced that selected players from the football and volleyball events at the sports meet will represent the KVYO team in both the Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) sports meet and the Mini Captain Kengurüse Tournament this year.
