Dimapur, Feb. 7 (EMN): A youth orientation programme on Atma Nirbhar Bharat was organised by Keze Society, Kohima, sponsored by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Kohima at Modern Institute of Teacher Education, Kohima on Monday.
John Makhabo, Director in-charge, NYKS, Kohima gave a brief introduction about NYKS and highlighted the contributions of NYKS for the youth. He encouraged the participants to start small scale industries within Nagaland. He also mentioned that ‘entrepreneurship would solve the problem of unemployment’ in the country, an update stated.
Resource person Dr. Velankanni Alex, Assistant Professor, motivated the students and shared on the means to begin business in small scale industries. It said that practical experience is important to be successful in business. The assistant professor also pointed out the different types of entrepreneurship and suggested that proper planning, finance and the legal environment were important for protecting the business.
It stated that he interacted with the students and asked them to perform a trial demonstration of a good business by dividing into groups.
