Dimapur, Dec. 29: Keyipeisile of Peren town was declared winner of the ‘Peren Voice Impact Season 3’ which was held on December 20 at main town area in Peren town. Besides winning the coveted prize, Keyipeisile also won the Viewer’s Choice sub-title.
Organised by Peren District Music Society (PDMS), Deihing Pame of Jalukie ‘B’ was declared the runner-up, while Miss Kehungyile Herie won the sub-title and was named ‘Most Promising Artiste.’
Earlier, winner of Peren Voice Impact Season 2, Miss Binthu Newmai enthralled the crowd with a couple of songs.
The competition, which is an annual event, was conducted with a difference in which the winners were judged by panel of experts and not on voting which was highly appreciated by all the parents and the crowd. The event was sponsored by Music Task Force, Department of Youth Resource (Rs 50,000) and Ipetdaung Lungalang, Superintendent of Food and Civil Supply, Peren, (Rs 20,000). He also sponsored sound, lighting and stage accessories.
First prize of Rs 10,000 was sponsored by Masangum Heika, PS to Chief Minister of Nagaland, and Maluilung sponsored the second prize of Rs 5,000, while Irangbui Hingleu, proprietor of offset printing press, Jalukie town, sponsored Viewer’s Choice and Most Promising Artiste of Rs 3000.
Meanwhile, PDMS has thanked all participants and well- wishers for making the event a success. It also acknowledged individuals for the contributions towards procuring sound system. It has particularly thanked Kuchi Rangkau, proprietor of High Tech Construction for donating Rs 1,23,000 (two amplifiers); Keilei Zeliang, Secretary of Rural Development Rs 1,00000 (speakers); Marang Hegui, Deputy Secretary, Department of Tourism Rs 50,000 (mixture); Jimmy Rangkau, Special Officer to Chief Minister Rs 20,000 (accessories); Hiazu Meru, OSD to Chief Minister Rs 10,000 (accessories); Kamba, Director of Women Empowerment (Snake cables and two microphones); and Rajesh, Class-1 contractor Rs 2000.
