Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): The Kewhimia Union Dimapur (KUD) conducted its 1st general meeting on May 11 at Kudawhi Guest House Bank Colony in Dimapur. A press release from the union updated about the event.
During the meeting, the additional commissioner for Excises, Visedelie Mepfuo officially released the first KUD’s constitution.
Addressing the meeting, Mepfuo said that ‘the good deeds of our elders should be remembered and followed by the younger generation for the betterment of the union to achieve it aims and objectives.’
He appreciated the present KUD team for taking up various activities for the welfare of its union and also for launching the union’s constitution which was awaited for a long time.
The KUD president, K James Vizo said the priority of the union was to work together as a team and strive to maintain harmony with all sections of people. He appealed to all the Kudawhi members not to shy away from the union activities but to participate actively in order to build up a vibrant society in today’s fast changing world.
Also, the house resolved to constitute a finance committee with Guo-ou Karhüo as convener, Vekiduo Linyii as member secretary, Atho-o Dzuvichü, Sedezhalie Whourie, David Sekhose, and Pelhoubalie Khezhie as members and K James Vizo and Mhasikhoto Phewhuo as ex-officio members.
