Kenye urges people to be aware of income generating schemes

Speaking at the culmination programme of the District Development Coordination & Monitoring Committee (Disha) of Kiphire district, on June 29, Kenye said centrally sponsored scheme like aspiring districts will bring economic development for the people of rural areas. Kenye said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is giving priority to bring progressive development in the rural areas to uplift the people and connect the Northeast to the rest of country. The deputy commissioner of Kiphire, Mohammad Ali Shihab who si also the member secretary of Disha highlighted the implementation of 41 flagship programmes implementing in the districts. Various departments including DRDA, Medical, DEO, DAO, Agri, LRD, R&B (PWD), I& FC, Social Welfare, Supply, PHED, Power & GM industry participated in the programme. This was updated by DPRO The Dimapur’s Disha also held a meeting in the deputy commissioner’s conference hall in Dimapur on June 29 wherein flagship programmes such as MGNREGS, Pradhan Mantri AwasYojana, PMAY-G, implementation of Food Security Act, PMGSY, National Social Assistance Programme, NHM, Mid-Day Meal, ICDS, PMJDY, and PMSBY were presented by different departments. Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Sushil Kumar Patel DC said that presentation of different flagship programme and reviewing its progress report during the meeting is not just to highlight the programmes but to help implement better in future.
