Dimapur, Dec 15: Rajya Sabha MP, KG Kenye has emphasised preserving culture and tradition in keeping pace with the modern civilisation saying it holds the essence of our identity.
Addressing the 25th Anniversary of the Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) at Noklak on December 12, KG Kenye said culture should be cultivated by all generations to come as it reflects our identity. It may be noted here that Khiamniungan has a total of 196 villages with 36 in Nagaland the remaining 160 villages in Naga Myanmar. Dwelling on 33% women reservation which the Government of Nagaland has passed, he said the reservation has nothing to do with the Article 371(A) and asked the ENPO people to support and participate in the Municipal/Town Council Elections.
In his concluding message, the MP announced that he would adopt Pansha Village (ITC) under MP Village Adoption 2017.
