Dimapur, May 20: Justice Nishitendu Chaudhury, Judge of Gauhati High Court and Executive Chairman of Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) released the first yearly bulletin of the Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) in a ceremony organised at the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench.
Releasing the bulletin, Justice Nishitendu Chaudhury congratulated KDLSA for documenting its activities for the benefit of the public. He applauded the Authority for discovering new innovative ideas and documenting its activities not for the sake of publicity but to work better, work more efficiently so as to enable the next in line to carry forward the works that have been done.
Making analogy of a marathon passing the lighting torch to the next person, he said our job is to keep the work going on. Mentioning that whatever we do becomes guidelines for others to follow, he reminded the members to keep bringing new ideas so that the next generation would carry it forward. While reminding that the more we work, the more we discover the road, he urged the members of the Legal Services Authority to keep the fire burning.
The programme was chaired by Mrs. Mezivolu T Therieh, NJS, Chief Judicial Magistrate and Secretary of KDLSA. She mentioned that KDLSA wanted to make the bulletin a regular feature adding the idea of releasing the bulletin was not for publicity but rather to highlight its activities so that many people would be able to get insights and come forward to avail the benefits meant for them.
Bulleting editor and KDLSA panel lawyer, Ms Neiteo Koza, said it was a wonderful experience compiling the records for the bulletin.
The bulletin would be available at the Front Office of the Kohima District Legal Services Authority, District Court Building, adjacent to DC Office, Kohima, free of cost.
