Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): The meeting of the Advisory Committee, Kohima College Kohima (KCK) was held on July 27, to discuss various issues pertaining to the upcoming Golden Jubilee of the college scheduled on August 9, and the NAAC Peer team visit for its 2nd session of assessment and accreditation sometime towards the end of the same month.
The meeting also resolved to change the nomenclature of Advisory Board to Advisory Committee in conformation to the directives of the Nagaland University and the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland.
The meeting was chaired by the chairman of the Committee, Kevisiezolie Suohu who also offered valuable advises on a number of issues.
Principal KCK, Dr. Watijungshi, presented a report of the academic and administrative aspects of the college. He also highlighted the completed and ongoing infrastructural works of the college.
The vice principal, Thinuokhrienuo briefed on the academic activities of the college, and on the preparation of the upcoming Golden Jubilee celebration.
IQAC Co-ordinator, Moanungla Kevichüsa, presented a report of the preparation for the upcoming NAAC Peer team visit. She also brought to light the progress made in various areas by making a comparison on between the status of the last Peer team visit in 2012 and the present.
