Dimapur, Nov. 25 (EMN): Kayakalp external assessment team led by Dr. Ritu Thurr, CMO Kohima, along with Dr. Toshimongla Longkumer, DPM (QA) Kohima, and Ms Vethipralu Lohe, DPM (QA) Dimapur, visited CHC Bhandari and CHC Sanis on November 20 and culminated their visit on November 21 at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital.
The team checked on the availability and non-availability of resources, boundary demarcation of the hospital, good practices adopted by the hospital staff, bio- waste management of the hospital, the laboratory facilities etc. The team also had interactions with Rev. Khonbemo P Kikon, pastor of Wokha Town Baptist Church; Thungdemo, president of Team Metamorphosis (NGO); and members from Lotha Eloe Hoho Wokha.
Kayakalp is an initiative of Government of India to promote cleanliness, hygiene and infection, control practices at hospitals.
