Katy Perry is set to perform at half time at the Super Bowl next year. The singer has revealed that she is already thinking about the performance and what she is going to do during her set, despite the gig not being until February. Speaking in a video posted online shortly after the announcement was made during the Dallas Cowboys V New York Giants game on ‘Sunday Night Football’, she said: “I’ve got some insane ideas this year. What if we covered the stadium with glitter? But the glitter ... was edible.” Katy was first linked to the Super Bowl show back in August but cast doubts when she insisted she wouldn’t pay to perform at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, Arizona, following reports the NFL wanted to charge artists to play at the show after the broadcast reported a record-breaking audience of 111.5 million last year. She said: “I’m not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl.”
