Diphu, May 31 (EMN): In a press release issued by Karbi Youth Organisation (KYO) president Jackyson Terang and General Secretary Si-em Teron stated that whoever get elected or comes to power in the next Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) election, the first priority is to focus on the implementation of “244 (Article) of the Indian Constitution, which was the long standing demands of the people of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasoa.
KYO said that, the peoples of the twin hills of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasoa are waiting for its implementation of “Article 244 of the Indian Constitution” the long demands aspiration of the indigenous hills people.
Further the organization stated that the youth organisation is also reminding the promises made by Senior BJP leader L.K Advani during his visit to Karbi Anglong at Kheroni in 2009 who said that BJP will implement 244(A) in the constitution of India when they come to power in central as well as in state and KAAC. KYO said
KYO also stated that ex-BJP President and Current Home Minister Rajnath Singh during his visit in Karbi Anglong at Dokmoka assured the peoples of Karbi Anglong to implement 244 (A) to the Indian Constitution if the BJP government comes to power. The organization said that all their words were like the puff of smoke, which comes and disappear. The issues are still in withheld stated KYO. The organisation urged every political parties and Independent candidates to include 244 (A) in their manifesto.
