In the complaint, the KSA stated, “We wish to file this complaint against Samsu Uddin, who has made threats against the Karbi community in a video published on Times 18 News Channel.”

“On June 20, 2025, a video was uploaded and shared by Samsu Uddin, son of Abdul Malik, from Doboka Utmari Gaon, Ward No. 7, under Doboka police station, Hojai district, with mobile number 7896794314. The video was uploaded on Times 18 NE News Channel, where he directly threatened and defamed the entire Karbi community.”

The complaint also stated that Samoj Uddin shared baseless remarks targeting the Karbi community, which are not only defamatory but also intended to incite hatred, communal disharmony, and public unrest.

The KSA called for immediate legal measures to investigate the content's source, track down the perpetrator(s), take down the content, and uphold the Karbi community's dignity and rights.

The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) led by President Jitu Phukon also lodged a complaint at Bokajan Police Station.

Speaking to the media, Phukon informed that one person, identified as Samsu Uddin, made derogatory remarks against the Karbi community on social media, following which the AJYCP had filed a complaint at the Bokajan Police Station. Phukon insisted that the person should be arrested immediately and put behind bars as per the law of the land.
