- DIPHU — In a gesture of goodwill, the Karbi Students'
Association (KSA-Inglongpho) provided travel support in the form of financial
assistance to 60 aspirants from Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong, who are
sitting for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) at various examination
centres in the region.
- The test, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is
a single window for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and research
programmes in central and participating universities across India. The event
was held at the KSA Central Committee office in Rongthe-ang, Diphu.

- KSA general secretary Barnabas Killing stated that due to
the lack of a CUET examination centre in Karbi Anglong, a Sixth Schedule
district of Assam, students face difficulties every year, and some are unable
to afford the expenses. However, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi
Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang, extended financial support to the
CUET aspirants.

- Killing also informed that Ronghang has assured the KSA
delegation that he will work towards establishing a CUET examination centre in
Karbi Anglong from next year. The KSU expressed gratitude to the CEM for his
support during the students' difficult times.
- The distribution event was attended by KSA president Bhudho
Terang, office secretary Pinpo Teron, and other KSA officials.
