DIPHU — Chokamkuru Langneh, a young and enthusiastic Karbi Indie-artiste organised a listening session of his album 'Parallels' which is scheduled to be released on Nov. 21.
The album listening session was held at Poor Man's Kitchen, Restaurant lawn in Diphu on Wednesday.
The album 'Parallel' contains 7 songs including six in English and a Karbi song 'Chetongte ji Mane' with lyricist Longbir Terang.
Langneh informed Eastern Mirror that 'Parallels' will be released on Nov. 21 on all the streaming platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Prime Apple Music etc.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The tracks are: Chetongji Mene (Karbi); Flowers at Dawn; Out of The Dark; Parallels; Infinity; You Wouldn’t Know (Re-imagined) and Our Last Song (Ft. Oshin Gyati), the last song features Oshin Gyati who is a musical artiste from Arunachal Pradesh.
At the listening session, Karbi Anglong Beatbox Community, Purple Heart Events (K-Pop) and Diphu Anime Community shared stage with the artiste.
The artiste informed that the event which was entirely managed and organised by himself witnessed one of the largest audiences recorded at the venue and that it was a sold-out show'.
Chokamkuru said that such album listening session was organised for the first time in Karbi Anglong.
Several songs from the album have already been featured on radio shows like 93.5 redFM and one of the songs “You Wouldn’t Know” was also nominated for MG Music Awards in Kohima last year, told Chokamkuru.
Chokamkuru extended his gratitude to Risim Rongpi, proprietor of Poor Man's Kitchen and media partners Karbi Anglong Today and Eastern Mirror and to all who turned up at the event.
The music was arranged by Raikom Terang and recorded at Tomo Audio Studio.
