Karbi Anglong police rescue businessman from kidnappers

Our correspondent Diphu, July 10 (EMN): Karbi Police department rescued one Diphu based businessman Hemlal Kumar from the hand of Kidnappers at hills of Rongkhelan on July 8. The rescued operation personal was led by Superintendent Police Dr. G.V Siva Prasad, IPS and ably assisted by DSP Muzaffar Hussai. He was kidnapped at a gun point from his house at Serlongjon, Diphu on July 5, midnight by a group of armed kidnappers. The kidnappers have demanded Rs.30 lakh from the victim for safe release. The kidnappers escaped from the police firing. One pistol and mobile handset were recovered from the possession of the kidnappers. The police told that the operation is still going on to nap the culprits involved in the incident.
