Diphu, Sep. 18 (EMN): Karbi Anglong & NC Hills Autonomous State Demand Committee (KANCHASDCOM), Karbi Longri N.C Hills Leberation Front (KLNLF) and Joint Action Committee for Autonomous State (JACAS) jointly organised press conference held at Karbi Adorbar Amei, office on Sep. 18.
Addressing in the press conference , KANCHASDCOM, President Ajit Timung said that, it has already been completed 30 years and its running 31 years of Autonomous State movement since then the central government is not taking keen interest towards the implementation of Autonomous State of the twin hills district of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao’. He also said that, the organisation will appeal all the political, social and students organisations to initiate to work together for the common interest of long pending issue of Autonomous State.
Khorsing Teron, President, JACAS said that, Tuliram Ronghang led BJP government in KAAC, as well as in the State and central is BJP, if the BJP government really want to implement Autonomous State, they can give anytime. Not only that, giving word assurance will not do this time instead action is the most essential in this crucial time, word has been made for the last 30 years, added Teron.
KLNLF, chairman, P.Dili explained about the joint conference said that the organisation have same ideas, aim and objective, they had Peace talked with central government for several times since 2010-2017 but their talked was not fruitful, likewise, KANCHASDCOM and JACAS were also not fruitful, the status of the talk with the central government is still stuck in Home ministry department, in order to pressurize the central government for immediate implementation of Article 244(A) Autonomous state of the India constitution. The organisations also agreed to depute a joint delegation to New Delhi tentatively in October to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi for guiding in arriving at logical conclusion the peace talks with the KLNLF and for immediate settlement of the longstanding Autonomous State issue, added the press communique.
