Imphal, April 8 (EMN): The District Election Officer (DEO) of Kangpokpi on Monday held meeting with nodal officers and reviewed the ongoing preparation for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
DEO who is also the deputy commissioner of the district reviewed manpower, transport, EDC, postal ballot for SoO cadres, dispersal and preparation for the model polling stations.
Meanwhile, the third and final round of training for polling personnel of the district was conducted at by sub divisional officers, sub divisional collector along with master trainers at the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office complex.
A training programme for 24 sector officers and 38 micro-observers was conducted in the conference hall of the DC on Sunday.
A special training of the sector officers for GPS tracking was also conducted by experts from Globizs Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Imphal.
Training for women polling personnel, hand-on- hand training to the polling personnel on the use of EVM & VVPAT were also conducted.
The third and final randomisation of polling personnel for 162 polling stations of three assembly constituencies of Kangpokpi — Saitu, Saikul and Kangpokpi will be conducted today, April 9 at 8 am in the office chamber of the DEO, Kangpokpi district headquarters, 45 km north of Imphal.
