Imphal, March 15 (EMN): District Election Officer (DEO) of Kangpokpi on Friday held a meeting with members of political parties of the district in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner at Kangpokpi headquarters.
During the meeting, members were informed about the change of polling stations and nomenclatures.
While informing that the cVigil App and webpage is functional, the DEO urged the members and citizens of the district to make use of the facility. She also asked them to lodge any complain regarding the violation of Model Code of Conduct.
She further informed that the toll free complain number 1950 will be active from 9 am to 9 pm everyday and any person can inquire about any election or electoral roll related issues.
Earlier, a training of the presiding officers and polling officer-I was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, where the master trainers of the district gave hands-on training on the use of EVM/VVPAT to the polling personnel.
Training for flying squad team of three assembly constituencies namely- Saitu, Saikul and Kangpokpi was also held at the same venue.
The DEO has informed that the awareness campaign on EVM and VVPAT will be conducted in all the three constituencies of the district to provide first-hand experience of EVM and VVPAT from March 15 onwards.
The meeting was attended by ADM Lalramsang Infimate, MCS, AROs, election officer of Kangpokpi, BJP and INC representatives and nodal officers of the district.
