The decision was taken during an emergency meeting of the group on Saturday, it was informed. A press release from the KPU on Saturday informed that the resolution was taken following the state government’s decision to “induct four members committee on RD block Chunlikha imbroglio and an appeal made by the department to keep in abeyance the proposed agitation”. It announced the suspension of the proposed agitation ‘while honouring the decision of the government to resolve the issue and keeping in mind the festive season’. “The union with good hope and faith anticipate the wise decision of the committee report, for the welfare and benefit of the community at large,” it stated.
