The teachers of private schools get a meager amount of salaries, but in result the performance of private schools are much better than government schools, which needs to be examined.
More infrastructures will be given to all government schools inorder to improve the performance in education, Engti said. He also said that for enumeration of census duties teachers should not be engaged so that they don’t skip off from attending schools.
By engaging teachers in census duties students incur heavy lost as their lessons are not completed at the end of the year, he expressed.
Morakorduiguri Assamese LP School, who secured the highest score from the 37 schools scoring A+ grade in the Gunotsav is located in the remote place bordering Karbi Anglong and Golaghat district. There some people wanting to convert the school into English medium, but I objected as it needs to preserve the Assamese language which is the state’s official language. School should be treated as a temple by keeping it clean and imparting education with utmost sincerity and dedication.”
