WOKHA — Nagaland’s K3M band has won the Best Regional English Rock Song award at the Clef Music Awards 2025 in Mumbai, becoming the first from the state to receive recognition at the event.
To mark the achievement, a reception was held in Wokha where family members, friends, and community members gathered to felicitate the band.
At the programme, the band thanked supporters for their encouragement, describing the award as recognition for everyone who had stood by them.
“Words are not enough to describe how happy we are. This award is not just for us, but for everyone who has supported our music journey,” they said.
They also shared their experience of attending the ceremony, where they performed alongside mainstream artists.
The winning track, Pandemic, was composed during the COVID-19 crisis and explores themes of loss, resilience and hope, with a tribute to frontline workers.
Formed in Wokha, K3M is known for a blend of heavy metal, melodic ballads and gothic rock. The band has previously received the Governor’s Award in 2023 and the Rocka Rolla Music Award for Best Metal Single in 2024.
The group’s latest recognition has been described as a boost to Nagaland’s growing independent music scene.
