K-Pop singer Jang Han-byul to perform in Nagaland

And it is clear that there are ardent K-Pop fan following in the state. The Hornbill International Music Festival in 2018 worked magic as represented by the concert of K-Pop band Mont which saw an overwhelming crowd response especially from the young. The Hallyu (Korean wave) fascination in Nagaland is turning out to be a trend especially among youngsters. Here is another treat for fans as an event dubbed the "Summer Star Tour" with K- Pop singer Jang Han-byul will be happening in Dimapur and capital town Kohima. The event will be a fan meet and a mini-concert, which will be held in Dimapur on July 20 at the IMC hall, and on July 23 in Kohima at the Heritage. Also, the event will be held on July 21 at the Joysing Doloi Auditorium Hall at Diphu in Assam. This information was given by the events' organisers Musik-A Events during a press conference that was conducted on Mon. June 10 in Dimapur. Musik-A Events is hosting the "Summer Star Tour" in association with Pinkbox Events. Jang Han-byul's performance on July 20 in Dimapur will be his first concert in India. According to the organisers, the artist is said to be 'super excited' for the fan meet and concert. Jang Han-byul is a Korean singer and television personality who appeared on the Korean reality shows Code: Secret Room, Society Game, besides having been the host of popular TV shows like After School Club, Simply K pop, MNET US M Countdown. He is a former lead vocalist of boy band LED Apple. Besides cameos in dramas such as 'To the beautiful you', 'Short Family', 'Reckless family 2', he has sung original sound tracks for popular dramas such as 'Lovers of Haeundae,' 'Sassy Go Go', 'Marriage not dating', 'Pretty Boy', ' Remember – War of the sun', and 'I picked up a star on the road' to name a few. According to the organisers, Jason Jang Hanbyul lived in Australia before moving to Korea. Besides being an artist he holds a bachelor's degree in dental science from the University of Queensland. The event in Dimapur will be an indoor programme, for which the seats will be limited, it was informed. The sale of tickets will be in two form-online and offline. For online booking, one can avail tickets through musikanagaland on Instagram or from www.musika.in from Fri. June 14. Offline, tickets will be available in Dimapur at Beauty Barn, Furtados Music Store, Funky Buddha and Musik-A school, and for Kohima D café, Ozone Café, Symphony Café and Ete Coffee. The tickets are priced in three categories with perks and privileges: Platinum priced at INR 5000, Gold at INR 2500 and Silver at INR 500. K-Pop contest The event organisers has invited interested K-Pop fans to sing or dance and send a video of them performing. It should be unedited and in one take. They may email it to musikanagaland@gmail.com or through Whatsapp till June 30. The top 10 likes will get direct entry into the judges' round, the updates said. The winner will get the opportunity, besides receiving gift hampers, to open for Jang Han-byul. This was informed by the event organisers at the press conference.
