Justice sought for Nagaland Vodafone employee found dead
The Western Yimkhiung Hoho (WYH) has called for swift justice in connection with the suspected murder of one Yansomong working for Vodafone Idea Limited
- DIMAPUR — The Western Yimkhiung Hoho (WYH) has
called for swift justice in connection with the suspected murder of one
Yansomong, a native of Sangphur village in Shamator district and a temporary
resident of Mokokchung.
- In a note, the WYH said that at the time of his demise, he
was working for Vodafone Idea Limited and left for supposed training on May 5
at 2 pm from Mokokchung. During this time, he was accompanied by some of his
staff members until Amguri station, after which he was scheduled to leave for
Guwahati at 5 pm the same day.
- “But disastrous news ensued on 8th May 2025 with the
recovery of his dead body at the Mariani-Titabor railway track under
questionable circumstances,” the statement read, adding that the WYH fervently
appeals to the highest competent authority to initiate a prompt investigation
to arrest the culprits.
- Urging that a befitting punishment be awarded to the
perpetrators as per the law, the WYH further called upon every right-thinking
citizen to condemn the alleged act.
