- DIMAPUR — The Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ), Tesophenyu
Group Youth Organisation (TGYO), Tesophenyu Group Women's Union (TGWU),
Tesophenyu Group Students' Union (TGSU), Tesophenyu Group Mothers' Union Kohima
(TGMUK), and Tseminyu Students' Union (TSU) have condemned the assault on a
Class 10 student from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima, on February
20.
- In a note, the RSZ sought the cooperation and sincerity of
the concerned educational institution for the swift conduct of the
investigation while respecting the identity and safety of the students.

- Furthermore, the RSZ reaffirmed its commitment that the
organisation will leave no stone unturned if justice fails to prevail as per
the law.
- The Tesophenyu Group Youth Organisation, while expressing
anguish, said that if justice is not served and the inquiry report fails to
satisfy them, they will not hesitate to take appropriate legal action to ensure
that justice is delivered.
- It appealed to the school authorities to take immediate and
appropriate action to address the situation and implement preventive measures
to ensure such incidents do not occur in the future, while also appealing to
Nagaland student bodies to organise seminars and camps among teenage students
regarding bullying and ragging in schools and colleges to prevent their spread
in society.
- The Tesophenyu Group Women's Union noted that the victim's
family may not have yet filed an FIR and appealed to the concerned authority to
intervene and bring justice.
- The Tesophenyu Group Students' Union, while condemning the
act, said that it is not merely an isolated act of aggression but an indictment
of systemic failure to protect students and uphold disciplinary accountability.
