Junior Athletics Meet in Noklak on August 26

DIMAPUR — The Noklak District Athletics Association (NDAA) has announced that it will be organising a Junior Athletics Meet for boys and girls in the U-14, U-16, and U-18 categories on August 26 at Public Ground, Noklak.

According to the organisers, winners of the meet will be selected to represent the district in the 2nd Nagaland Junior Athletics Championship 2025, scheduled to be held in September.

The NDAA informed that the last date for registration is August 25, with a fee of INR 100 per athlete. Aadhaar card will be accepted as the only proof of age.

For the U-14 category, athletes can participate in one of three triathlon events combining track and field disciplines, including 60m sprint, long jump (5m approach), high jump (scissor), back throw (1kg shot put), and 600m run.

In the U-16 and U-18 categories, both boys and girls will compete in events such as sprints, middle-distance races, high jump, long jump, and shot put, with restrictions on the number of events each athlete may enter.
