Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Virazouma village council and M/S TK Engineering have, through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), amicably settled the July 27 incident at NH-29, 7th Mile, Dimapur, in which one Kedichol Kiso of Virazouma village was killed by a falling tree consequent to road construction by M/S TK Engineering.
The MoA came about following a meeting convened by the Virazouma village on August 8 at its council hall in which the matter was settled amicably in the spirit of brotherhood and Christian faith.
The MoA was signed by Isaac Zhimomi and Chanchal Nag on behalf of M/S TK Engineering, while Vitsu Rikha, chairman of Kidima village, and Vipopal Kintso represented Virazouma village.
A joint press release issued by chairman of Virazouma village council, Videzol Natso, and the secretary, Visüto Tepa, stated that representatives of M/S TK Engineering have expressed deep regret and remorse on the unfortunate incident and committed to take-up all measures for the safety of the public and so that such incident do not occur again.
With the understanding, the matter was settled and decided that should be no ill-feeling amongst all concerned so long as no party or individual renegade by virtue of the MoA.
