Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): The 1st Super Six Cricket Tournament organised by the Yanmhon (old) Students’ Union of Wokha concluded on May 7. The tournament was conducted at the high school ground in Kohima with the theme 'teamwork makes dream work,' a press release from the union informed on Monday.
According to the press release, the team Juggernauts emerged the champions of the event and walked away with a cash prize of INR 10, 000 along with a trophy.
The 1st runner-up position was bagged by Silverbacks who took home a cash prize of INR 5000 along with a trophy.
The 2nd runner-up position was taken by Welp Cricket Club who took home a cash prize of INR 2500.
Imomenba Walling, Thungchamo, and Apenthung of the Juggernauts shared the top honours in the individual awards: best batsman, best bowler, and player of the tournament, in that order.
Eighteen teams participated in the event. Local singer Oren Mozhui gave away the prizes to the winners.
