Mokokchung, July 6 (EMN): The Jubilee Memorial College in Mokokchung welcomed its new students during a programme on July 6. M Bendangnukshi Longkumer, member of the Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission was the special guest of the event.
Supongyanger from the department of English and Prakriti from the department of political science were crowned JMC Mr. Fresher and JMC Ms. Fresher for 2019.
In his speech at the event, Longkumer urged the students to set goals and to work towards them. He advised them to learn how to use modern technology as millennial and to use it to their advantage.
In the modern age, he said, young people have lost respect for their culture and traditions. He appealed to the students to learn to respect their parents and teachers.
‘Our ultimate goal is to set our eyes on God and to be good human beings,’ he said.
