
24-year old Jonathan Yhome, a local musician based in Kohima released his latest extended play (EP) "Heading Out" on Friday July 20 at Hotel East Gate in Kohima.
During the debut event, Yhome spoke about how he wrote the song from his day to day life experiences and the inspirations behind composing the song as he began his music career. He also performed some of his originals including 'killing us', 'goodbye' and '3 AM'.
It was informed that 50% of the proceeds from the sales of his CDs have been pledged towards the well-being of the children at John 3:16 Orphanage and Adoption Centre located in Mon.
Also, the program aims to highlight the importance of mental health and to raise awareness towards personal, emotional and social issues that accompany mental health aliments and how they are addressed, especially among the youths.
The event is managed by imagi.NATION private limited, a Kohima-based event management initiative. imagi.NATION is a group of young entrepreneurs who share the passion and dream of creating and providing platforms and opportunities for celebrating life and ideas towards a significant social impact.
