A job fair in Kohima brought over 2,000 job openings from five employers, with 37 candidates shortlisted and 17 receiving offer letters.
DIMAPUR — A day-long Job Fair was held at the Regional Employment Exchange, Kohima, on September 25 to facilitate employment opportunities and strengthen linkages between job seekers and prospective employers.
The programme was jointly organised by the Regional Employment Officer, Kohima; Sub-Regional Employment Officer, National Career Service Centre for SC/ST, Kohima; and Don Bosco Placement Network (AIDA), Dimapur.
According to a DIPR report, five companies and employers participated in the fair, offering more than 2,000 job openings across various sectors within and outside Nagaland.
The participating employers and placement agencies included Reliance Jio, Chilli Breeze, Talent Acquaintance, Apex Motors, Dimapur, and SBI Life, Kohima.

More than 100 candidates attended the fair, of whom 37 were shortlisted and 17 received offer letters for employment opportunities in various sectors.
The initiative provided job seekers with an opportunity to interact directly with prospective employers and was aimed at bridging the gap between available employment opportunities and job seekers, while promoting skill development and workforce development in the State.
According to the organisers, more than 69,896 individuals were registered with Employment Exchanges across Nagaland as of July 2026, underscoring the need for continued employment facilitation initiatives.
