Dimapur, April 3 (EMN): Jan Kalyankari Yojana Prachar Prasar Abhiyan (JKYPPA) held its first executive-cum-consultative meeting on April 1 at LCS Building in Kohima.
The meeting deliberated at length on implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes under the programme in the state and whether proper awareness was created about its aims and objectives, an update from JKYPPA stated.
The main focus for Nagaland at present would be to start free distribution of sewing machine schemes to cover women under the age group 20-40 years for women empowerment and income generation for the target group.
The executive, presently headed by Philip Chadiseb as state president, informed that the district units for JKYPPA would soon be formed and take up work at the grassroots at the earliest. The state president further informed that it is a non-political body having no affiliations to any political party but having a pan India presence.
