
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): Jeüchüghu FC Phor edged past Khumiasü FC 1 – 0 in the final of the 9th edition of Pochury Black Day Memorial Cup 2022 played at Meluri Town ground on Friday.
The winning goal for Jeüchüghu FC Phor was scored by Rachitu Jourü, an update informed. Altogether 11 teams participated in this year’s edition of the memorial cup.
Tarep of Shilloi Sporting Club with seven goals won the highest scorer award, Tüwusü of Khumiasü FC bagged best defender title, Avijisie Phoji of Khumiasü FC was named most promising player.
The best goalkeeper award went to Wietsüsie Phoji of Khumiasü and Jeüchüghu’s YithachuThupitor was declared player of the tournament.
Joint Director, department of Geology & Mining, Chirhotho Rasutho, the valedictory guest in his address iterated for coming together irrespective of caste, creed, religion or status for a better tomorrow. Further he wished that the tournament would bring more unity and peace in the land.
