Jesus Youth Movement of St Joseph’s College Jakhama led by Sister Annie, animator the two-day programme from March 21 at St Francis Xavier Church Kidima at church premises concluded with main celebrant Reverend Father Thomas Muttathil, Parish Priest.
Parish Priest, Reverend Father Thomas Muttathil expressed the gratitude to Jesus Youth Movement of St Joseph College Jakhama Mission Tour at St Francis Xavier Church Kidima despite of difficulties way from College to Kidima village.
Father Thomas Muttathil in his homily how to prepare the Passion of the Lord during the Lenten season. The Parish Priest asked the children to obey their parents as they are working under the sun and rain as Jesus wounded for our sin and salvation for the people.
Jesus Youth Movement of St Joseph College Jakhama in the exhortation asked the parents to love and care to their children instead giving corporal punishment in the time commit guilty.
Rosary prayer, imparting the catechism and hymns to the children, movie show of the society behaviour, games for entertainment and refreshing, exhorting the parents and demonstration the talent of praise and worship for the glorification to the Jesus Christ were the highlights of the two day programme.
Meanwhile, St Francis Xavier Church Kidima Fathers’ Association joined with St Matthew Church community at Khezhakeno of Phek district being fellowship gathering as union from Christ on Sunday.
The Vice President of Southern Angami Catholic Union (SACU), Vitsu Martin shared the good news for the day and challenged the faithful to carry the cross and follow Jesus Christ who is the saviour of the world.
The Vice President said man cannot shrewd before God that brings destruction to oneself. Martin challenged in the large gathering of the faithful to obey the commandments of God and not to crucify Jesus for the people’s sins again. Catechist of St Matthew Church, Khezhakeno, Ruokovilhou Raymond shared the joy to St Francis Xavier Church Kidima Fathers’ Association for their love and affection was a mission tour to their village in particular.
Dasel Francis Xavier one of the first member of the St Francis Xavier Church, Kidima shared a brief history of Catholic faith grows at Kidima. Francis the pioneer of Catholic faith from Kidima faces the problems in the early stage and growth to a large community amongst the village.
The warm welcome was accorded by the faithful member, sharing the gospel, interaction, special number was presented by Catholic community from Kidima followed refreshment was the highlights of the day.
