Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): Janata Dal (United) has announced to contest the upcoming state assembly election in a meaningful way. JD (U) is part of the Democrative Alliance of Nagaland (DAN).
JD (U) general secretary and chief spokesperson, KC Tyagi, stated that Nagaland unit has already started its campaign in broader manner. Recently, the party had conducted a consultative meeting in Kohima on January 13, which was addressed by the national secretary general and secretary.
Tyagi further stated that the party is in the process of consulting all the concerned political parties and groups to finalise the alliance. He added that the state party leaders and some regional outfits would meet the party president Nitish Kumar in Delhi on January 27 for the final decision.
