DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Unit of Janata Dal (United) has extended a warm welcome to Nishant Kumar following his formal entry into active politics.
In a statement, JD (U) Nagaland state unit president and MLA Jwenga Seb described the development as a significant and promising moment for the party, expressing optimism that Kumar’s entry would mark a new chapter of leadership and renewed commitment to the ideals championed by party leader Nitish Kumar.
Seb said the party wholeheartedly welcomed him as he assumed the responsibility of advancing the JD (U)’s mission of developmental justice and national progress.
He stated that Kumar’s entry fulfilled a long-held aspiration among party members across different levels who had been eagerly anticipating his dynamic contribution in shaping the party’s future.
The statement also expressed hope that Kumar, with his youthful energy and forward-looking vision, would pay dedicated attention to the development and aspirations of the Northeastern region, particularly Nagaland.
According to the party, Nagaland has long been inspired by the ideals of the party’s pioneering stalwart Jayaprakash Narayan, and expressed confidence that Nishant Kumar would honour this legacy while working towards meaningful progress for the region.
