DIMAPUR — The JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Guwahati celebrated its 20th edition of Annual Design Awards showcasing an exceptional blend of creativity and innovation through a curated interior design, jewellery exhibition and high energy fashion show, highlighting the talent and vision of the institute’s emerging designers.
As per a press note received on Thursday, the award was held in association with the City Centre Mall in Assam on Nov.21.
Paurangyile Hegui and Rachel Vero of Nagaland proudly secured the “Commercial Viable Award” for their striking “Temporal Cascade” collection. Their work exemplified vision, innovation, and unwavering dedication to fashion design.

The students from the institute’s fashion, interior and jewellery department came together to showcase their proficient excellence in design.
A total number of 70 students participated in the event.
For this year’s edition the students worked on the theme “Last Invention” highlighting the idea of humanity’s final breakthrough. It challenged the designers to imagine a world where one invention reshapes the society, a solution to global problem or a turning point for the future, encouraging them to work on futuristic and sustainable products.
The event was judged by Ar. Ritul Sharma, architect and owner of ‘Akriti’; Managing Director Rupal Dalal, Director Harsh Dalal along with the centre directors.
