JCC and NTAC empowered to deal with cabinet sub committee

Dimapur, April 5 (EMN): The JCC and the NTAC along with apex tribe bodies, frontal units, Naga Council Dimapur and other Dimapur-based civil societies held a joint meeting on Wednesday at Western Chakhesang Hoho hall, Dimapur. A press release on Wednesday listed the following resolutions to have taken during the meeting:• The house unanimously resolve (sic) to empower/endorse JCC/NTAC to have consultation with the cabinet sub committee to the decision on suspension of the former Commissioner of Police, DC Longleng and the police personals (sic). • The JCC/NTAC shall decide to select/appoint one member from Nagaland civil society to Judicial Enquiry (sic) Commission for impartial enquiry. • The JCC shall take the initiative to constitute a committee for amendment/review the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001. • All the apex tribal bodies shall submit opinions/suggestions on contents and structure of Nagaland Municipal Act 2001 to the Committee before the end of June 2017. • The house strongly urge upon the state government to revoke the Nagaland Legislative Assembly resolution dated 24th Nov 2017 through special assembly session
