Kohima, Oct. 17 (EMN): A store of USUPSO, a Japanese designer brand, was inaugurated on Thursday at PR Hill in Kohima.
Retired Chief Secretary Banuo Z Jamir spoke at the event. She said, “The consumer market is very demanding and dynamic and this is a challenge which the people in the business has to face and competition is there all the time.” She appreciated Usup So for providing job opportunities to the youths of the state.
Jamir gave an advice to the staffers: The mark of success of any enterprise is efficiency, and friendly staffs and services. This involves training in manners, in conduct, and ‘diplomacy.’
“We always enjoy revisiting a shop with efficient people who are willing to help but at the same time are not inclusive,” she said. ‘This can be very taxing on the staff because it is human nature that we cannot maintain this kind of behaviour all the time.’ However, regular and short motivational events for the staffs are very essential for success, she said.
“No matter how successful you are, you must always be open to new ideas and never feel small to learn from other successful people. And most importantly you must invite feedbacks from your customers and from your staffs,” she advised.
Megnuonuo Rio Yaden, who obtained a franchise of USUPSO, said this is the third store of the brand that has been established in Northeast region. The first USUPSO store was opened at Aizawl in Mizoram, and the second at Guwahati in Assam. USUPSO was established in 2013 in Tokyo and the brand represents affordable prices with quality, she said.
Yaden said that the store deals in lifestyle brands. Prices start at INR 99 and even the most expensive item in the store is only INR 1500. “We are aiming at providing the necessary things needed every day, at a reasonable price,” she remarked.
Further, Yaden said to have been delighted to see many young enthusiastic people seeking private sector jobs.
The store plans to bring in new items every month so that customers won’t get bored. It plan to bring in new designs and colours every month, she said.
