The 29th Jangpetkong ACCC has questioned the location of a Khelo India multipurpose hall at Longtho, Mangkolemba, and sought an impartial inquiry into alleged discrepancies.
MOKOKCHUNG — The 29th Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) has raised concerns over the construction of a multipurpose hall at Longtho, Mangkolemba, reportedly sanctioned under the Khelo India Scheme for Mangkolemba.
In a statement, the ACCC said the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and an RTI reply clearly identify Mangkolemba as the project location.
However, it alleged that the hall has been constructed within the private residence of Temjen Imna Along at Longtho.
The ACCC questioned whether the project, in its present location, would benefit the youth of Mangkolemba and sought clarification on the basis for selecting the site.
It also questioned whether the elected MLA of the 29th Jangpetkong Assembly Constituency was aware of the project, which was sanctioned under the 2023-24 government scheme.
The committee further pointed to a “No Objection” certificate issued for the construction of a multipurpose hall at Mangkolemba in Mokokchung district under the Khelo India Scheme of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
It highlighted what it described as a discrepancy between the approved project location and the site mentioned in the completion certificate.

According to the ACCC, the completion certificate issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Mangkolemba, on July 2, 2026, states that the multipurpose hall at Longtho, Mangkolemba, funded under the Khelo India Scheme during 2023-24, was successfully completed.
The project was implemented by the Nagaland Youth Resources & Sports department through the Engineering Wing of PWD (Housing).
The ACCC urged the authorities concerned to conduct an impartial inquiry into the alleged irregularities and ensure that the matter is investigated without favouritism.
