Shamator district administration launches the Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan to extend government welfare schemes to remote areas.

DIMAPUR — The launching programme of the Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs was held in the Shamator district under the aegis of the district administration on Monday.
The campaign is being observed from May 18 to the 25th across the district. According to a DIPR report, the launching programme was attended by various civil society organisations, heads of departments, officials, and stakeholders of the Shamator district.
During the programme, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Shamator Chubatemjen highlighted the significance and objective of the campaign, stating that the initiative of the Government of India is aimed at extending government services and welfare schemes to the remotest and innermost parts of the district.
He pointed out that the district administration has consistently undertaken people-centric initiatives over the past years, which have yielded positive outcomes across the Shamator district.

The DC further stated that, in a phased manner, most of the villages and circles under the district have already been covered through the "Government initiatives to their Doorstep" during the past year. Through these outreach programmes, several government services and welfare activities have been successfully delivered directly to the people.
The services and activities conducted under the initiative include healthcare services, awareness campaigns, Aadhaar enrolment, issuance of important government documents, and the dissemination of various government schemes and programmes for the benefit of the community.
Various leaders from different organisations and civil society organisations also participated in the programme and shared their views, suggestions, and feedback regarding the functioning and implementation of government activities in the district.
