- DIMAPUR — Nagaland’s
lone Lok Sabha MP, S Supongmeren Jamir, on Friday proposed several initiatives
to enhance the institution’s academic and infrastructural growth of the Sainik
School in Punglwa (SSP) under Peren district.
- Jamir made the propositions during the 31st local board of
administration (LBA) meeting of Sainik School, Punglwa, held at the school
campus. The meeting, attended by all members and the chairperson, focused on
key initiatives to enhance the institution’s academic and infrastructural
growth, stated an update from NPCC communication department.
- It stated that Jamir has congratulated the school
administration, faculty and students for achieving 100% results in the Class 10
and 12 CBSE board examinations. He also lauded the collective efforts of the
school community in maintaining exemplary academic standards and reinforcing
the school’s reputation as a premier institution in the region.

- Highlighting the importance of holistic development and
cross-learning opportunities, the MP proposed the promotion of exposure trips
for students from schools across Nagaland’s districts to visit Sainik School,
Punglwa. Such initiatives, he emphasised, would foster camaraderie, share best
practices and inspire younger students to aspire toward disciplined and
excellence-driven education.
