Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): A 30-day training program imparting skills in electrical wiring for houses was concluded at the SBI-RSETI at Jalukie in Peren district. The event is said to be the 6th residential programme organized by the institute.
A press release from the organisers on Sunday informed that the resources person for the training event was Jangthaodai Panmei, a professional in electricity. About 30 candidates from different areas of the districts participated in the course and were given training on various aspects of electrical wiring and home appliances. The event was conducted during September 1-30 for free.
During the valedictory program, JC Bhuyan, director of SBI-RSETI, spoke about the importance of house wiring and advised the trained candidates to use the skills they had acquired to generate income and to be self-reliant.
Certificates were distributed by the director to the trained candidates. The candidates were said to have expressed ‘great satisfaction’ from the training.
‘The training program aims to mitigate unemployment and underemployment problems among the rural youths in the country,’ the organisers stated.
The institute will be organizing an event on mushrooms cultivation during October 3-12, too. Interested persons are asked to collect the application forms from the establishment during office hours, the press release stated.
