Jal Jeevan Mission training for stakeholders held in Kiphire

Kohima, Nov. 14 (EMN): A four-day residential training programme on Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for village water and sanitation committee (VWSC) members and Panchayat Raj Institution (PRIs) was held at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall in Kiphire town on November 10.

An update from the PHED informed that the programme was organised by Himalayan Institute for Environment and Ecology and Development (HIFEED) from Uttarakhand and supported by Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Nagaland.

The inaugural session was held on November 9 led by Longtili C Sangtam, chairman of Akehda Amulung (implementing support agency), wherein the deputy commissioner of Kiphire, Wati Aier, graced the session as guest of honour.

At the culmination programme, team HIFEED acknowledged all the 60 participants with certificates and conveyed best wishes in implementing JJM at their respective villages.

Longtili C Sangtam, chairman of Akehda Amulung, has extended gratitude to HIFEED team, which has come from Uttarakhand for the workshop. He has also acknowledged VWSC and village council chairmen for attending the programme.
