DIMAPUR — Amid the ongoing row over leadership, Rajesh Kumar Sethi Jain has issued a clarification countering allegations raised by the Dimapur District Congress Committee (DCC), asserting that his party membership is valid.
In a press note issued on Thursday, Jain stated that his enrollment is duly registered under Dimapur-II Assembly Constituency, with a membership ID issued by the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) valid till March 31, 2027. He termed allegations regarding absence of valid membership as “factually incorrect”.
He also denied claims that he had circulated information regarding his appointment in the media, stating that there is no evidence to substantiate such allegations and that the matter can be independently verified.
On the nature of his appointment, Jain said the communication was clearly indicated as a press release, adding that any interpretation beyond that context is misplaced.

At the same time, he acknowledged that certain concerns raised by the DCC Dimapur may merit consideration and said these require appropriate clarification at the level of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and the NPCC.
Jain added that he remains committed to the principles of the Indian National Congress and expressed hope that any misunderstandings would be resolved through constructive dialogue within the organisational framework.
