Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): The 12th edition "Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament" organised by the Zeliangrong Football Association (ZFA) will commence from Nov. 6 at THAU sports complex, Thangmeiband in Imphal west.
The ZFA issued a press release on Mon. Sep. 24 through it general secretary Romeo Palmei.
The tournament is open only for Zeme, Liangmai, and Rongmei/Kabui(Inpui) community residing in the states of Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland stated the press release.
This year’s champions will receive a cash prize of INR 1 lakh with trophy. The runners-up and third place will receive INR 50,000 and INR 25,000 along with trophy.
Other group and individual awards consist of "best disciplined team, best parade team, best player, best keeper, and highest scorer". Cash prize of INR 10,000 and INR 5000 each along with a cup will be awarded to group and individual players.
The press release further stated that every Zeliangrong villages youth club are entitled to sponsor not more than one team for the tournament. Entry form will be issued from Oct. 1 till the 20th and the last date of submission of entry form is Oct. 27.
Entry forms can be collected from ZFA head office, Kakhulong, Paona Bazar, Imphal or from Digix cyber Majorkhul, Imphal during office hours between 10:30 am to 4:30 pm except on Sunday and holidays.
The entry form fee is INR 500 while the registration fee is INR 3000.
