Kohima, Jan. 31: The Joint Action Committee on Women Reservation (JACWR) has informed that it followed up its decision to withdraw its cases against the state government, in regard to 33% women reservation in civic bodies, from the Supreme Court. In a release today, JACWR co-convener Dr Rosemary Dzuvichu stated that the petitioners have submitted signed petition on January 30 at Delhi for withdrawal of the Civil Appeal and the writ petition fromthe Supreme Court of India. She said necessary formalities will be done by their advocate Dr Colin Gonsalves and copies will be served to the government of Nagaland on the withdrawal.
