- DIMAPUR — Minister
of Public Health Engineering Department and Cooperation, N Jacob Zhimomi,
inaugurated the Live Coffee Roastery, a new live roaster roastery unit, at Jüro
Coffee House, CT Square, Chümoukedima, on January 17.
- According to a DIPR report, highlighting the importance of
supporting emerging entrepreneurs in Nagaland, Zhimomi stated on the occasion
that there is immense potential in entrepreneurship as a means of economic
growth. He also expressed that Naga entrepreneurs are pushing boundaries and
setting high standards, a development that is extremely encouraging.
- He lauded Searon Yanthan, proprietor of Jüro Coffee House,
for going the extra mile and putting Nagaland's coffee scene on the global map.
With a seamless and integrated coffee supply chain, the company is providing
employment to Naga youth as well as a meaningful income to local coffee
farmers, Zhimomi added.
- Yanthan shared the story behind Jüro's founding, reaffirming
the company’s mission to "source, roast, and brew the finest coffee beans
from the lush farms of Nagaland." She expressed pride in Jüro's ability to
highlight the unique flavours of Nagaland’s coffee while also contributing to
local agricultural development.
- The ceremony also featured a special address from Yanpuvo
Kikon, founder of Kikonic Tech Pvt. Ltd. and KLEY Enterprise (Westside
Nagaland). Kikon commended Jüro’s rapid growth and its success in effectively
integrating the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors, positioning the
company as a key player in Nagaland’s coffee industry.
- The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Kilum Yanthan,
director of Lithanro Pvt. Ltd., who expressed gratitude to all guests and
supporters.
