Dimapur, June 15 (EMN): Minister of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Jacob Zhimomi, stated that the Northeastern region has made remarkable stride on socio-economic development and come at par with other states of the country after the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power in 2014.
Jacob stated this during a programme organised by the BJP of 4 Ghaspani-1 AC to mark eight years of Modi government at Sumi Community Hall in Diphupar ‘A’ on Wednesday. He stated that before 2014, the NE region was neglected by the national parties governing the country. He reiterated that the prime minister has a profound vision for the northeast including Nagaland for which the NE states have been connected with the rest of the country through airways, roadways and railways sector.
Speaking about the various schemes, he said that Nagaland should also benefit from the same. He said the party is making all efforts to ensure that the schemes are implemented in a fair and just manner and no corruption should take place even at the village level.
The state BJP general secretary, Khevishe Sema, asked the party workers to spread awareness about the various schemes introduced by the central government. Stating that the BJP government works on the principles of transparency and accountability, he stated that various schemes implemented by the centre and state governments would determine the 2023 elections.
“We should acknowledge the work of the BJP government and it is our duty to spread our achievement and the schemes implemented by the government of Nagaland and central government,” he said.
President of BJP 4 Ghaspani-1 AC, Vitoho Y Zhimomi, and Hokaito Zhimomi, state spokesperson, also delivered short speeches during the programme.
